Do not “qualify” and the player will win even money on both bets if his hand outranks the dealer. Or he will lose both bets if the dealer’s hand exceeds the player’s hand.
So when does a player want to play vs fold? If he folds, he loses the stake, which we will call “a unit.” If he plays, he will bet a total of two units (Ante and the Play) but he will stand a chance of winning a portion of it. If the dealer does not qualify, he will win back a total of three units visit KaptenCasino
If the dealer meets the conditions and the player wins, he will win back four units. If the dealer meets the conditions and the player loses, he will win zero units. So the player should expect to win back at least one unit on average to make his total loss of 1 unit or less. This will make it better than folding.
This is what our computer program will look for. It will start with one of the player’s possible hands and simulate each of the dealer’s 18,424 possible hands. Remember, that players must make a decision before seeing either of these dealers. So he folds for all 18,424 hands or he plays all of them. If he folded for all of them, he would lose 18,424 units. If he played all of them, he would bet a total of 36,848 units.
